The opening deposit is only $100, and if a $500 minimum daily balance is maintained or at least one direct deposit per statement cycle is made, the $9 service charge is waived.

Monthly transactions are unlimited, and this account gains customers access to online banking, bill pay, and e-statements.

Another checking account option from Opus is Personal Interest Checking. This account has a $10 monthly service charge, but this can be waived if a $1,500 minimum daily balance is maintained.
