Key Factors Leading Us to Rank This Firm as One of This Year’s Top Credit Union Firms

Upon completing our detailed reviews, SF Fire Credit Union was included in AdvisoryHQ’s ranking of this year’s best credit unions based on the following factors.

SF Fire Credit Union Review: Checking Account

SF Fire Credit Union offers a checking account that has no monthly fee, no minimum balance, and no direct deposit requirements (as of June 2016).

An ATM Anywhere debit card may also be linked to the checking account. With a checking account, SF Fire Credit Union will refund up to twelve ATM network charges per calendar month. The credit union will post the refund within two business days.

SF Fire Credit Union Review: Overdraft Protection

SF Fire Credit Union members may elect to opt in to overdraft protection. The service is only turned on if a member signs up online or through mobile banking. Overdraft protection will draw funds from a savings account, a Visa credit card or another checking account you may have with the credit union.

The SF Fire Credit Union website states that overdraft protection services are free, but be sure to check with the union to be sure that you are totally aware of all potential charges and fees. Interest will apply if used with a credit card.

SF Fire Credit Union Review: Savings Accounts
