Memorial Credit Union offers three forms of overdraft protection to help you avoid an overdraft of your account.
Overdraft Protection Link to an Account
You can link your checking account to another deposit account at Memorial Credit Union and pay $5 per transfer fee for each overdraft item covered by the linked account.
Overdraft Protection Line of Credit
You can open a line of credit with this top Houston credit union that will cover any overdrafts up to a pre-determined amount. This is subject to approval, fees, and interest.
Overdraft Privilege
Overdraft privilege can be used alone or as a secondary option with Overdraft Protection. It allows you to overdraw your account up to a disclosed limit. There is a $28 overdraft fee per item and an over limit fee may also apply

Memorial Credit Union keeps members informed with a financial health newsletter and education information about investing in IRAs, and more. This full-service Houston credit union has plenty to offer its members.
One slight drawback we found is the limited number of ATMs and we did not find on their website any note about being a member of Allpoint or another ATM network, which could limit member options. For this reason, we’ve awarded them a 4-star rating.
They remain one of the top-ranked credit unions in Houston and one to consider banking with in 2020-2021.
