Santander Bank Review: Santander Switch Services

Santander created its Switch Services program, which gives customers everything they need to transfer their accounts from another financial institution. Santander employs a dedicated team of Switch Services professionals who work with clients through each step of the process.

The process begins as soon as a future customer contacts Santander and the Switch Services team collects necessary information. Then, the team helps new customers move their direct deposits as well as bill payees and recurring automatic payments.

The Switch Services team then provides new clients with final confirmation that all services have been moved.

Santander Bank Review: Overdraft Elections

Offered as part of checking services from Santander are Overdraft elections. This can also be used with money market savings accounts, and customers have the option to select from two service options: Some Overdrafts and All Overdrafts.

If you elect to use the Some Overdrafts service, Santander pays all transactions except ATM transactions and one-time debit card purchases.

Those transactions will most often be declined, which means no resulting fee.

With the All Overdrafts option, the bank may pay all transactions that occur, and it will charge a fee for each paid item when funds are insufficient or unavailable.

Santander Bank Review: Santander Premier Plus Money Market Savings

Santander Premier Plus Money Market savings account is one of the top-tier savings options for customers. One of the premier features of this savings option is the attention received from a dedicated personal banker.

Other benefits include easy transfers up to six times per service fee period, consolidated monthly statements, and access to all Santander online services, including online and mobile banking.

There is no monthly fee for the Premier Plus Money Market Savings Account as long as the account holder also owns any Premier Checking account.
