SF Police Credit Union is a credit union serving professionals in law enforcement, firefighting, and EMT agencies. SF Police Credit Union (SFPCU) was founded in 1953 by a small group of San Francisco policemen. In 2003, the union extended its membership to California fire and emergency medical technician agencies. The credit union now has more than 32,000 members and more than $700 million in assets.

Winners are selected by SFPCY’s executive staff upon approval of the Board of Directors.

SF Police Credit Union Review: Checking Accounts
The regular checking account requires a $25 opening deposit and may earn dividends. The account may be linked to a MasterCard debit card, and overdraft protection may be linked to the account.
Overdraft protection is potentially activated by linking a savings account, or Courtesy Advance is available upon request. With Courtesy Advance, transactions that overdraw an account will be covered on a discretionary basis. Fees will apply, so be sure to be clear on those before signing up for the service.
Business checking and balance checking accounts are also available.
