The TD Cash Credit Card from TD Bank is another no-frills cash back rewards credit card for consumers who want to earn while they spend without going broke paying annual fees.

Rates & Fees of the TD Cash Back Credit Card

For regular purchases, the TD U.S. credit card comes with a variable APR of 13.24%, 18.24%, or 23.24%. The exact rate you get for the TD cash back credit card depends on your credit score and credit history. Unfortunately, there is no introductory APR for the TD Cash credit card.

For balance transfers to your TD Cash credit card, the APR is the same as for regular purchases – 13.24%, 18.24%, or 23.24% with the exact number being determined by the individual applicant’s credit score. The good news about those who want to do a balance transfer to their TD cash back credit card is that there is an introductory APR for balance transfers on a TD U.S. credit card.

For the first 12 months after you open your TD U.S. credit card account, you get an introductory APR of 0% on any balance transfers to your TD cash back credit card. This way, if you want to transfer some debt from another card to your TD Cash credit card, you can spend an entire year reducing the balance without having to concern yourself with growing interest.

With the TD Cash credit card, you only pay $10 or 4% of the transfer – it depends which one is higher. The APR for cash advances from your TD cash back credit card is 23.49%. There is no annual fee for this credit card.

TD Cash Credit Card Rewards Program

The TD Cash credit card rewards program is a no-frills cash back program, with pretty decent rates and no annual fee. But this also means that there are limitations to the TD cash back credit card program that you wouldn’t experience with, say, the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Card.

You earn 2% cash back on dining, but only if you spent $500 on dining each month using your TD Cash credit card. You get one percent on all other purchases so long as $1000 is spent each month using your TD cash back credit card.

There is also an introductory bonus offer on the TD Cash credit card. If you spent $500 on any items using your TD cash back credit card within the first 90 days, you receive $150 cash back which is equal to 15,000 points. You don’t have to redeem your rewards for cash. You can also redeem your TD U.S. credit card rewards for gift cards, travel rewards, and select merchandise.

The same goes for balance transfers on the Wells Fargo Rewards® Card. The APR is variable – between 12.40% and 26.24% – and the final number is based on the applicant’s creditworthiness. For the first 12 months, a balance transfer to your Wells Fargo Rewards credit card accrues 0% interest, giving you time to pay down your debt interest free.

As mentioned, the annual fee on the Wells Fargo Rewards® credit card is $0.

Wells Fargo Rewards® Card Perks & Rewards Program

You can earn points quickly using your Wells Fargo Rewards® Card. You get 5 points for every dollar that you spend on groceries, gas, and drug store purchases. One point for all other purchases made on your Wells Fargo Rewards credit card, and you get five years to use up all of your points.

The time limit for using your rewards is one drawback to the Wells Fargo Rewards® Card. Unlike other cards like the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Card or the American Express Blue Cash Everyday® Card, the points are not available to you indefinitely. If five years go by and you have not redeemed the points on your Wells Fargo Rewards® credit card, you’re out of luck.

Conclusion: Find a Rewards Card That Is Both Useful and Affordable

Almost every credit card today has a rewards program. Some come with extensive perks, services, and an annual fee like the American Express Blue Cash Everyday® Card, and others are more lowkey and scaled back, like the Wells Fargo Rewards® credit card or the TD Cash Credit Card.

You should make sure that the price you pay in annual fees is proportionate to the amount of rewards you get out of the card. If you don’t travel often, a $95 annual fee for the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Card just may not be worth it.

Assess your financial needs and spending habits to find the credit card that makes the most sense for you.
