GECU was founded in 1932 when 11 El Paso civil servants each pooled $5 each to start the credit union. The goal then and now has been to help members make their dreams come true through a philosophy of people helping people.
Today, this top credit union has over $2.6 billion in assets and serves over 385,000 members from 25 branch locations.
